Privacy and data

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information may be processed when you use Tool Nova, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: July 8, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Tool Nova website, its online tools, and related pages. It does not govern third-party websites, public-data providers, or services reached through external links.

2. Accounts and information you provide

Tool Nova does not require an account for ordinary tool use. If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, full identification numbers, payment-card details, medical records, or other sensitive information.

3. Tool inputs and generated results

Many calculators, converters, text tools, image tools, QR tools, and generators process input locally in your browser. Tool Nova does not intentionally store those inputs on its servers unless a tool clearly states otherwise.

Some tools require current external data. In those cases, search terms, coordinates, dates, country codes, vehicle details, book identifiers, or similar request values may be sent to a Tool Nova server endpoint and then to the relevant public-data provider. These requests may also appear temporarily in hosting, security, or provider logs.

4. Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referring page, response status, and approximate region. This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.

5. Analytics

When enabled, Google Analytics may collect page views, general interactions, device information, approximate location derived from network information, and referral data. We use aggregated reporting to understand which tools are useful and where the site needs improvement.

Tool Nova may also use privacy-friendly first-party analytics. This stores an anonymous visitor ID, session ID, requested page, referrer, approximate country from hosting headers, device type, browser type, language, screen size, and timestamp. It is used only for site operation, debugging, content improvement, and abuse prevention. It is not used to identify individual visitors by name.

We do not sell personal information. Analytics reports are used in aggregate to improve page quality, fix broken tools, and understand which free tools are useful.

6. Cookies, local storage, and advertising

Tool Nova and its service providers may use cookies or similar storage for security, preferences, analytics, measurement, and advertising. Some features may store settings or temporary choices in your browser so they remain available during a later visit.

When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, limit, or personalize advertisements where permitted. Available consent controls may vary by region. You can also manage cookies through your browser and review Google's explanation of data use on partner sites.

7. Public-data and third-party services

API-backed tools may communicate with public or third-party services such as NASA, USGS, NHTSA, GBIF, Open Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, World Bank, and other named data providers. Map features may request tiles from OpenStreetMap. Each provider handles requests under its own terms and privacy practices.

Tool Nova may also rely on hosting, content-delivery, analytics, advertising, and security providers. We do not control third-party retention practices or external websites.

8. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for site operation, security, troubleshooting, legal obligations, or responding to messages. Browser-stored information remains on your device until it expires or you clear it. Public-data providers and infrastructure services may apply their own retention periods.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards, but no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid entering confidential information into a tool unless the page clearly requires it and you understand how it will be processed.

10. Children's privacy

Tool Nova is a general-audience utility site and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request.

11. Your choices and requests

You can block or delete browser storage, use browser privacy controls, and choose not to submit optional information. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information that we control. We may need enough information to verify and process a request.

12. Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy when the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be posted here. Privacy questions can be sent through the Contact page.
